After creating wellness programs for years, I realized that leaders need help! Leaders are human. Despite their impressive titles and big responsibilities, leaders often struggle in silence. Leaders, more than anyone else, are the ones who set the culture and tone for the rest of the organization. It's not enough for a leader to talk the talk about their strategic plan. They must walk the walk. An unhealthy leader can alienate a team. They can allow a toxic work environment to fester. They can destroy morale and cause irreparable harm to their reputation and earnings. A healthy leader, however, can inspire the team. They can create a healthy work environment, retain great employees, earn rave reviews from all the stakeholders, and succeed financially.
The health of leaders can make or break companies. Unfortunately, most leaders avoid asking for help. They fear it will make them appear weak, incompetent, or foolish.
